a very quick message
I’ve been busy as I thought I would be, but hoping I’ll have something for you all tomorrow, meantime this is just a quick message to ask anyone who may have my home phone number coded onto speed dial of their mobile, who also has a fairly young child, to please check that your child is not calling me! constantly!!! over the last couple of months, your bill is going to be huge!!!! I haven’t been able to get the child’s name so I suggest you all check your phones. thanks (because they connect to the answering machine, some of the connections have lasted up to 10 minutes! which is also frustrating for other people trying to call us).

Very quick post

the card above is the one that I intended to have as my make and take at the fair, I’ve used chocolate chip, close to coca and creamy carmel card stock, stamped the sayings (happy and day) from the occasional greetings set, inking only the words I wanted with a marker, (the stamp I used was actually the happy mothers day) and Father from the happy fathers day stamp in the same set (page 112) and using a stampamajig to line up, then added 3 large eyelets, I also crimped the close to coca cardstock. The stamp set is totally tools. Hope you enjoy.I know I have been mia for awhile, took quite a long time to recover from that horrid virus and I hope none of you catch that one. thanks for continuing to pop in, btw this blog is now 1 year old! quite amazing, thanks for all your support.
edited:ps all those who snuck in before will see that this post is now completely different. After that very very early dinner, I was sustained enough to realise I’d been pushing the wrong button!!hahaha

quick update
Hi everyone,I’ve just come on to remind you all about the stamping and scrapbooking fair, on at the waville showgrounds this sunday the 16th august from 9.00 to 4.00. Cost $6.00 (husbands and children free) lots of stalls etc. It doesn’t look like I will get there though, I’ve been in bed all week with the flu and I’m off back there now, so on that note, please forgive me but there will also be no more posts for quite a few more days until I get my energy back.

the reason why we are short of pictures
I’m really sorry if you are here wanting to see lovely cards , my computer is still apart in three rooms, and it’s such a hassle to get everything connected , I thought I had an atc card uploaded but turns out not or else it’s got lost in the move between computers – this is really frustrating, and sorry to whinge, but I’m going to take a few days off from trying to keep this blogging up until I’m all fixed up and in one place again, hopefully my hubby will have it sorted by the end of the weekend. Keep crafting and I already am, so I’ll have heaps to show you once I’m back in one place! thanks for continuing to pop in.

Nothing to show you
oh no, there is nothing to show you, I have heaps to show you but would you believe that my computer components are dispersed over three rooms at the moment! Hopefully it will be all back together tomorrow and I’ll post up three cards to make it up to you. Thanks for popping in anyway, and just to let you know that if you were thinking of coming to saturdays class I’ve cancelled it, got a sick son again, I’m also going to have to rearrange august as I’m booking up with workshops instead. I will be trying to fit in the spring mini launch though so I’ll keep you posted about that.

couldn’t resist doing a pink card! I made this card to thank the lady at work for all her effort organising the biggest tea tomorrow morning, because I used some scallops it also fits into the last challenge Roz gave us for a scallop card, getting better at combining these! Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it, although it was terribly rushed, come on holidays! not long to go now. catch you soon.

A rose
as promised the other day, here is the card I got in the mail, such a lovely surprise, and I love roses so this card is just perfect for me, it’s much better in real life, the glitter is beautiful, and shirley always decorates the inside of her cards with as much effort as the outside, I love it, Thankyou very much Shirley

I’m off to make a card of my own now, so hopefully you will see something I have made on here in the near future.

Colour challenge
I’ve decided to take part in a colour challenge on Alisa Tilsner’s site, she has challenged us to use Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Pink Piroutte, and a neutral colour. Here’s what I came up with, the first card is for Kristie so that she can remember to enjoy herself over the coming weeks,

this card uses the enjoy every moment set, and I’ve used some pink piroutte designer paper and the eyelet punch, as a border as shown in a update below, the next card I’ve done just because I couldn’t wait to play with the circle circus set, this will be great for scrapbooking, I wish I had the ribbon to put on these cards, but I’m still waiting for it, but I think it would of made a difference

Eyelet border punch
I was making some swaps today, and they needed something to make the mundane leap out. A corner punch, but I didn’t want to do the old favourite corner rounder, so I grabbed my eyelet punch turned it upside down and wow, I’ve done some photos for you all, this is how to turn your border punch into a corner punch.

start with your punch and cardstock

line up the corner of your card, in the middle of the punch, ensuring the corner of the card is directly under the middle circle, the two edges of the card should just be above the two dips that join the other bits together (this is a bit hard to explain) here’s a close up

and the end result is

hope you understand all that, if not drop me a line. I’m off to finish my swaps, will be back later with some challenges I’m doing. tfl
