wedding card
this is the second time I posted this have no idea what happened to the other post, but I have to say that I feel extremly frustrated with the way my posts are disappearing off wordpress.
so I can’t remember all the stuff I said in the original post but it was really heartfelt, I will try, so here goes,
Happy wedding day Karen and Danny, hope you have a wonderful day today and lifetime of happiness together,
the stamp set is from love and laughter, mounted on glitter card stock, I tied a ribbon around the middle to imitate a sash. Off to have some words with a techie now, seems to be whenever wordpress congrats me on making a milestone post, that post disappears forever, so need to find out how to switch it off . keep crafting.
new autumn mini starts today
Hi everyone, the new autumn mini starts today, and it is seriously cool, so much delicious product in there, to start you off I made a card for a young child using the new set, sweet cake
this card also features the new smelling embossing powder cherry so it is pretty yummy. this card was my first play with new items, looking forward to getting to do more, but those of you on facebook know, I haven’t been able to craft much lately due to a fairly serious injury to my ankle which requires a lot of rest. Hope you understand that posts will be spasmodic for a number of weeks until it has fully healed. Hope to catch up soon, look after yourselves and keep crafting.
scrappin saturday train
a great pity this train set retired, it is a good for little boys layouts, so lots of stamping on this one, that’s all I can say or might give it away, send in those guesses now. Happy crafting.
taking a break
Hi everyone, you must all be pretty tired of looking at the last post, I don’t have anything to show you though and here is why
Last week I took some time out to smell the roses, I visited the roseview garden at Port lincoln, and we had a wonderful holiday which you will see more of once I scrap it. Since getting back I have been busy making personal christmas cards, shopping and spring cleaning the house which is taking me a very long time this year, can’t believe all the dust! Still have a heap more to do so it may be sometime before I can get back to posting. Meanwhile keep on crafting.
scrappin saturday zoo review lion pages
again mostly all retired product so no receipe, do you like how I used the top note left over cardstock to frame the photo, I never chuck anything out it always get used somewhere
I stamped the lion from the zoo review set into a corner for an embellishment, but this layout is mainly about the paper
hope you enjoyed todays layout, now I am not sure if there will be one next week, we have caught up and I have been busy making cards but hopefully I can get around to whipping one up but no promises.
scrappin saturday – zoo review cover layout
Hi everyone, my hubby and I are members of the Adelaide Zoo and so we often visit the zoo, plus the monarto zoo up in the hills, of course I end up taking heaps of photos so I have started making up an album just for our trips there. here is the cover page
I want do a receipe as nearly all the product used is now retired ( as part of my spring cleaning exercise I am using up some stuff – so that I can get more haha – don’t tell Manny that) anyway I stamped the lion and giraffe from the zoo review then cut them out for embellishments, the tree was a chipboard inked, covered in crystal effects and a bit of glitter, I used the tasteful trim die scallop part to frame and 3d it by using some old chipboard 12×12 frame so that it is standing a bit higher off the page. Here is a close up
hope you have enjoyed todays layout, catch you all next week.
ZOO REVIEW lion birthday card
hi everyone, today I have used the lion from this set, I’ve gold embossed him, then I ran Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, and Wild Wasabi through some different embossing folders ( perfect polka dots, houndstooth, square lattice) for the corner edges, embossed the greeting with wild wasabi embossing powder. The colour combo for this card was inspired by my sisters latest cardstock order, i pulled them out of the box and went wow these go well together haha. I have made this card quite textured as it is for a visually impaired person and is quite a tactile card, here is the inside
more embossing, went crazy with my bigshot but so loving the texture that it adds to cards. well thanks for visiting this week, tomorrow we have a layout using the zoo review stamp set and as long as I get more cards done this arvo some more next week, can’t promise haven’t been welll again, and also trying to spring clean (probably why I am not feeling too good, as soon as i do I overdo things and wham get ill again oh well) must also go and find out what wordpress are up to, they have changed things round again so I have to relearn how to post, they have added more steps in which is really helpful – not! catch you soon.
greenhouse garden embossed
this week I am showcasing the stamp set greenhouse garden, one of my favourites, and not used nearly as much as it should be, so I hope you enjoy the cards this week, I certainly had fun making them, first off I really wanted to try out the new coloured embossing powders and aren’t they lovely and bright
embossed with tangerine tango, wild wasabi, and melon mambo, then I punched out cardstock in those colours with the lace border punch some grossgrain white ribbon and a very quick and effective card. One note that I don’t think the embossing dries as quickly as the gold, black white etc, so be very careful you don’t touch the embossing straight away like I did though I don’t think you can see the smudge – hope not anyway. See you tomorrow for another completely different card.
thoughts and prayers get well
this week I am featuring the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, I needed to make a sympathy card recently and as also none in my stash so took the opportunity to make up a couple. However I don’t think this set is just limited to sympathy and get well although the sentiments in the set make it so easy and quick to make up these types of cards, so this week I have four cards to show you using this and one of the cards is quite versatile, so to start off we have the get well card.
These are a couple of my favourite colours as well, old olive and daffodil delight, the top note die, and lots of tags die and the tasteful trim die, so got to use my big shot again, and I even managed to incorporate some paper from the domestic goddess range, at first I humed and hahd wether to buy that range but so glad I did as it has become a firm favourite and may have to buy another pack, they are great background papers and the colours are a good choice too. Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoyed this card.
vintage vogue thinking of you
sending this one to a fellow demo, This card is a real departure from my usual style, but I am loving playing around with one set and seeing what you can come up with. I used the rock n roll technique to ink the flower which I stacked up, a bit of glitter in the middle, the flowers up the top have been inked with markers and stamped to form a lovely vine, I like how you can use stamps to get a unique background in the colour you need. the cardstock is elegant eggplant and wisteria wonder don’t they go well together. Well it’s been a bit of a purple week that just happened but must of been how I viewed this stamp set. Thanks for visiting and hopefully you have a few more ideas on how to use this most versatile set.
