No plastic bags
Well the new law in South Australia whereby you are not allowed to give out plastic bags has meant a more creative way to disperse orders for SA Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, here is one I’ve made up because I didn’t want to hand over a brown paper bag!!
I think it was appreciated almost as much as what was inside! Well it’s been a busy week again, and I haven’t got anything to show you, but I have been busy I tell you once all the people have received their goodies this blog will go into meltdown when I show you all what I’ve been doing for the past 5 weeks. In the meantime my guest designer (sister Helen) has once again come to the rescue with these absolutely gorgeous cards.

40th birthday present
I made the following card and album for a recent 40th birthday present. I layered some card stock onto the pages so that photo’s of the party could be added later. I have used the designer series paper Spring Silhouettes, on a kaiser craft 40 chipboard album. The colours are all, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery and Soft Sky. I dyed the flowers from the Prettiest kit with Wild Wasabi, and the little one with Soft Sky. The prettiest kit came in handy with pearls, and the beads and the pin to tizzy it all up. The” D” is from Cosmo Cricket and matched in perfectly. I used all the odd bits left over to make the birthday card with square puncehs, including the new scalloped square. The HB on the card is from a level one hostess gift “party punch”. Hope you enjoy and if I’ve forgotten something just ask.

Layout challenge
Roz has challenged the Southern Belles to do a 6×6 layout, as I’m a scrapbooker at heart this was easy, especially as we had a map to follow. Here is mine

I’ve used the classic stars jumbo wheel, it’s great for male projects, and some new stamps from the summer mini, but I can’t talk about them yet. Another challenge was to use glitter, (I’m sure these challenges are coming faster than once a week) anyway it’s great fun especially when you can incorparate them into something you had to do anyway, and for me it helps me get started.
This book was covered in the spring mini design paper which will be gone at the end of november, I love the bright feel to it, I’m learning so many techniques I decided I needed to write them down, so I got a cheap book from kmart, and covered it, I do a sample of a technique and stick it in the book then write the technique under it. Love the new glitter it’s so chunky and easy to cover the chipboard with. Well I’m off to do some more challenges – I play along with quite a few sites, I find they really help me learn new skills. If any of you would like to play along with the 6×6 layout visit Roz’s site for more information.

This is the mini album that Jacquie Corbett taught at the camp. I’m having heaps of fun making it and my theme is photo’s of my two sons hugging through the years.

I haven’t finished it yet, but you get the drift, I’ll have to buy bigger rings for all the pages though! I got a bit carried away. Thanks for looking, I love sharing with you all. Don’t forget to check out Jacquie’s blog the address is in the sidebar.

the project above used the “dashing” designer paper which is great for xmas. Any questions just ask, I’ve been printing off mega photos for the next couple of projects, so hopefully I’ll have them finished soon.

Tags and Gift Boxes
One of the projects we did at the camps was tags and gift boxes, you will have to forgive the photography on these one’s they all look much better in real life, all very easy to create, although this is the first time I have made a gift box so mine is a bit wonky. This class was held by Amanda Prime-Harris you can get her details off the stamp of approval web page as Amanda doesn’t yet have a blog of her own.
This is the snowburst set -have I said yet how much I’m going to miss this set when it disappears at the end of this month ! glitter, and in colours,
Season of Joy again, this tag is fantastic, you cut around the trees. Here it is open
My first attempt at a gift box, but what a great idea, love the star on top

Altered tin
Below is one of the tin’s we made at my world card making event, this idea came from Christine, you should check out her site she has made a couple of lovely ones. This one here is made by Patti and I really love the colour scheme she has come up with. I’ll be posting some of the others later once I get them altogether again for a photo, I forgot to take one on the day.
