scrappin saturday block design
interesting design this one, punched out squares from scrap and arranged in a block pattern, happy guessing, next week is the last one and then the winner will be announced.
happy birthday to dad
a very special birthday that we celebrated with a lunch, which I am still recovering from, so the cards can do the talking today, any questions just ask
the inside. hope to be back next week, will depend on the weather, far too hot in adelaide to craft.
I’m back
sorry everyone, boy it has been busy here, the bathroom renovation is well under way, lots of noise and mess so busy cleaning, and then cleaning again, on top of that my craft room got a bit of a refurbishment too, and it just was not conducive to crafting, however I have three birthdays this week, so had to squeeze in there, so here is the card I made for Joe and Dean hope you both have happy birthdays
the stamp is from the open sea, and perfectly penned, with the well worn paper. Now I’ve got to get Dad’s made for tomorrow and he will be 80 so a special effort is required, hope to be back soon, time management allowing (lot on my plate at the moment.)thanks for dropping in.
scrappin saturday baby layout
paper is mainly from retired stock, this layout could be used for a lot of ages, the album was made in 8×8 which was also a change for both of us, I like 12×12 much better, but then i also like to have heaps of photos on my pages. Happy guessing keep them coming.
scrappin saturday ducks
a very plain one today, but really cute
it is very hard to scrap when you don’t have photo’s, the pages always look a bit unfinished, still it will get filled up as Toby grows and can’t wait to see it with the photos, happy guessing everyone, how are you going – is it easy or hard??
scrappin saturday train
a great pity this train set retired, it is a good for little boys layouts, so lots of stamping on this one, that’s all I can say or might give it away, send in those guesses now. Happy crafting.
Field flowers two cards
Hi everyone, we are finishing off the week with an extra card, and I am quite surprised that the first one is very similar to one that Marelle Taylor made in this months edition of cardmaking, stamping and papercraft, I only got my copy today and what a surprise to see that there is a stamper challenge in there using this set!! How’s that for coincidence, so if you want anymore ideas on this set, and it has turned out to be a very versatile set, just grab the magazine.
i’ve used the stamp as a two step stamp which is what the set is really all about, and love the effect, could go quite wild trying this out in all sorts of colours, but just love the soft effect of blushing bride and regal rose I’ve used here, plus some beau chateu paper, and lace , very vanilla and just gorgeous. I also second generation stamped the bottom flower top stamp so that it wasn’t quite so strong – like I said could spend days playing with this set, here is another look entirely
poppy parade, baja blue, and daffodil delight very bright colours and for the elements button, flower brad, and beads for the centre of the flower. I hope you have all enjoyed this week, now not making any promises that there will be something new next week, I have a really busy weekend with workshops etc and the reno starts next week so I may not be able to get into the craft room for awhile due to stuff being stored here, but lets see, meanwhile the scrapping saturdays have been posted so that may have to keep you going. see you soon I hope. Happy crafting.
field flowers card 3
Card three is back to using similar colours again, but this time I have used the Stampin’ Up! watercolour pencils – did you know we sell them too – have a squiz at page 146.
now this card is a lot brighter in real life, but there isn’t a good spot to photograph at the moment with it being so hot, all the curtains are closed and no way am I going outside – sorry ladies. Hopefully the card for tomorrow will be ready, I’m waiting for the glue to dry and am hoping that we can continue on next week with another set, however will warn you that these weeks of cards will be as often as I can do them, but there will be times when I won’t have the time to get a week of cards up for you but I do always try my best. Life is going to be quite disruptive this year with renovations and that going on, so craft will be taking a back seat at times. Till next time, keep crafting.
field flowers card 2
Ok here I attempted to get away from my instinct to use earth colours and so we have gone rich razzleberry! how’s that, grab a look first then tell me
now this one is also a clean and simple style just did not look right when I tried to add bling or ribbon, so simple it stayed, I cut out the top note and embossed the background with the square lattice folder, loving that my big shot and dies/folders are so accessable now, all i have to do is walk around to the other side of the table, and that is good for exercise, so back to the card anyways, rich razzleberry and old olive are the colours, I used the blender pen and ink pads to colour. Who wants to see the photos of the before and after craft room mess? thanks for dropping by and catch you tomorrow.
