Another thankyou

here is the other card I made to say thankyou to the girls organising the biggest morning tea

A KIND word 1

I’ve used some lovely designer paper from the pink flamingo set, on kiwi kiss cardstock. The new incolours kiwi kiss and pink pirouette  seem to be favourites of mine as well as this A Kind word stamp set. I’ve already had to order more and they have only been out a month! I received a lovely get well card from Shirley this week too

shirley get well

isn’t it divine, love those colours together, fair amount of retired stock on this one, but the design is great, love it, thanks Shirley, well I’m off for my nap now, I’m very run down just now. Must be the lack of sunshine and no energy from all the shivering I’m doing. (can’t complain at least I don’t have the flu!) it’s just so cold here, might have to go and visit mum it’s always way warmer over there, the foothills are just freezing in winter!

couldn’t resist doing a pink card! I made this card to thank the lady at work for all her effort organising the biggest tea tomorrow morning, because I used some scallops it also fits into the last challenge Roz gave us for a scallop card, getting better at combining these! Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it, although it was terribly rushed, come on holidays! not long to go now. catch you soon.

No plastic bags

Well the new law in South Australia whereby you are not allowed to give out plastic bags has meant a more creative way to disperse orders for SA Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, here is one I’ve made up because I didn’t want to hand over a brown paper bag!!

bag

I think it was appreciated almost as much as what was inside! Well it’s been a busy week again, and I haven’t got anything to show you, but I have been busy I tell you once all the people have received their goodies this blog will go into meltdown when I show you all what I’ve been doing for the past 5 weeks. In the meantime my guest designer (sister Helen) has once again come to the rescue with these absolutely gorgeous  cards.

Happy Birthday to Manny

Hi all, yesterday was my husband’s birthday, and we had a really lovely day out together getting soaked in the rain! Doesn’t rain here much so we weren’t too unhappy about that, it added a bit of atmosphere to our drive through the misty slippery hills, that’s all!! We had lunch at the bridgewater inn,  wow that was perfect, nice wood fire, good tucker, good wine nice life eh! We are on holiday this week and that is the only outing we have had, we are busy cleaning out kitchen cupboards, and rearranging things – I really hate that job! anyway here’s a couple of cards Manny recieved, first from me

Recoginze it? Try page 40 of the 2009/2010 catalogue, it’s great to have ideas on hand when you are a bit rushed, and that’s me lately!! He did enjoy the card but reckons that it isn’t like him anymore cos of the weight he has lost lately. (and he has trimmed his mo as well!)  but says that as he does most of the cooking the rest is cool, and of course his  footy colours went down well too. Next is mum’s to manny

mum to mann

Mum has used green galore cardstock  and lots of non su stuff, must try harder to convert a bit more and here is the one I really love, from Helen,

helen's to manny

the stampin up cardstock  Brillant Blue and Yoyo Yellow, really make the 3d work on this card pop. hope you enjoy, I’m still doing layouts for a gift but I plan to create all day tomorrow and we will see if I get time to do something else for you.  (best laid plans, can’t see it happening I’ve two sick kids here today) tfl

Challenge

I took some time out from my gift making to do a challenge set by one of my Southern Belles team mates, Julia Emms has set a challenge for the following colours, Whisper White, Black, Brillant Blue and Brocade Blue.  As I am so over pink at the moment I did jump to do this one, I’ve used the whimsy set, and a retired sentiment, within the set colour scheme, it’s a very different style for me, hope you like it.

A rose

as promised the other day, here is the card I got in the mail, such a lovely surprise, and I love roses so this card is just perfect for me, it’s much better in real life, the glitter is beautiful, and shirley always decorates the inside of her cards with as much effort as the outside, I love it, Thankyou very much Shirley

Something’s missing

or someone! I guess it’s me, but so that you have something new to look at here is another card by my sister Helen, (I think we need to start sharing this blog! the number of her fabulous creations on here)

tea-party-copy

isn’t it lovely, paper is tea party and I love how she has made the butterfly out of it with a couple of brads (btw the brads are non stampin up but everything else is) thanks to Helen and Nathan for keeping you all entertained with new stuff this week, I really appreciate it,   and to what I’m up too – well I’m busy and apart from that I am actually trying to create a scrap book for a friend as a gift, which is why I have NOTHING to show you at the moment but once said friend has recieved her gift I’ll be able to show you all the pages I’ve done!  Check back tomorrow though as I have the most gorgeous card to show you that I received in the mail this week – at least my friends are spoiling me, Would you believe I had to make my own Mothers Day card!!!! and I bought my own present, but when it arrived it got whisked away and then I got asked for paper and a card! can you beat that!!

Not just stamps

Stampin’ Up! have a lot more products available than just stamps, they have embellishments of all sorts, designer paper for cards or scrappin, ribbons, brads, buttons and I could go on, but one of the best products by far is the cardstock, the colours are great and it’s the best value around.  To show you a card without any stamping on it that is made entirely from Stampin’ Up products I have once again turned to my sister (my best customer for cardstock let me tell you!) and here is a stunning card she has made from cardstock, punches and designer paper (that is afternoon tea which is sadly retired) BUT I seriously love this card, what do you think,

img_0079-srunk

Thanks for this lovely card, Helen.  Must also say a thankyou to my nephew Nathan for the great photography,  and I’m so jealous about that new camera, think I might have to hire Nathan for all future card shots. What do you reckon.

Sorry I’m late posting, just got told off from my big sister, but I’ve been really busy~ forgot when I said in the last post that I’d be back with more, that I had organised a get together at my place!! and really I haven’t had time earlier to post more! Here are a couple of more 6×6 layouts using trendy trees set and a card – hope you enjoy,

I’m beginning to think this set is going to be quite versatile for scrapping,  and it looks like I’ll have to put the card up tomorrow, I can’t find it just now, and I’m being called to dinner! hope you enjoy.
