Window Dressing
As promised here are the other two cards

this one has some of the new dsp paper and the cardstock is the new in colour tangerine tango, the brads are from the silver hodgepodge hardware.
The next card is a direct case from the catalogue, I’ve kept my promise to actually look at the samples this year, and there are some great ideas in the new catalogue

More sneak peaks
Here are two cards, I’ve made with a hostess set from the new catalogue, the set is called window dressing, and I love it, brings out the little girl in me!!

I’ve reversed the view for this one, so that you are looking out at the snow, I’ve made it into a chrissy card (never too early to start!) and the dsp is afternoon tea which will be gone on the 31st March, the summer mini finishes then so if you want anything out of there, please contact me, not all the stamp sets have made it into the new catalogue.

this cardstock is the new riding hood red, I’ve made a couple more but I’ll have to take photo’s tomorrow and post them, they haven’t scanned well. I really like the new in colours this year. Let me know if you are coming to the launch I still have a few places left.

Lots of cards
At the weekend I spent sometime making up samples for my launch, but I couldn’t show you then, because first the camera batteries died, then the internet went down, and I can’t get on the computer before wednesday, so here you are, I’ve got quite a lot, so may have to put them up over the next day or so, depending on whether the net stays up, (isn’t it frustrating!)This card arrived in the post today from Sue, I visit Sue’s site regularly and I’ve added her link so you can pop over and have a look at her site in a moment!

Cute eh, I’ve been making my cards for the launch from the fresh cuts set, and I’ve made quite a lot! what fun,

I’ll show you the close up’s on April the 1st which is the day the new Catalogue begins!!! how exciting, don’t forget to book into the launch, see the info below.
I’ll leave you with this very sad piccy, I couldn’t belive I got so close to a wild koala, why didn’t it run up a tree, the behaviour was so unnatural, I thought it looked a bit sick, so I went home and got some water for it and it drank, and drank, and drank, about 2 litres in all, the poor thing was so dehydrated, that’s a dry creek bed you can see behind him, all the neighbours are now watching him to make sure he doesn’t get this way again, so if you live close to a nature reserve keep a look out for the wildlife and give them some water please.

ps just realised I’ve cased a couple of cards in the piccy above, so acknowledment goes to sue, for the 3rd card in the first row, the second card in the second row, the first card in the first row is from the catalogue, and the second card in the last row is one from Denise, but you need to go and look at the originals they are much better!

I can’t, it’s the first time my en francais background has seen ink though, and don’t you love the new pink card stock, so soft. Anyway off to make more samples, one of the items we will be making at the launch, will be very useful for easter so hope to see you all here.

Can you guess
where I got the idea for this layout??

images © 1990 – 2009 Stampin’ Up!
if you guessed page 51 of the 2008-2009 iB&C you are correct, I have converted the card map into a scrap map and am really pleased with the result. The catalogue is very useful for these sort of ideas, I also keep my old one’s for when I need inspiration, even though we have had this one for a year, I’ve only just started looking at the cards and layouts, I’m going to be paying more attention with the new one! The blog candy prize is going to the only two people to comment, so Sue and Helen thank you and you will shortly receive a little surprise. I’ll leave you with this thought today, How many photos have you got of your immediate family? My answer is a dismal ONE can you belive it, one of us is always behind the camera- so if any of my family reading this has a photo of Manny, Kay, David and Alex I would really love a copy!

Goodbye Bodacious bouquet
One of my favourite sets is going, it’s so versatile I’m really going to miss it, however I’m holding onto it, I will still get a lot of use out of it on my scrap pages! Here are a couple of cards to say goodbye to it, the first card I made for the Elite Challenge and Mum’s birthday

I decided to try something new on this one, I used the rock n roll technique where you ink up the stamp with a light ink, and roll the stamp on a darker ink pad, creating a two tone, love it, will have to try this more often, and the solid stamp is perfect, I’ve also 3d the images to add a bit more interest, there is some sponging happening, and the colours are old olive, apricot appeal and pumpkin pie. Next

a bit more plainier but I’ve glittered the I in birthday and the little bits in the middle of the flower, colours are elegant eggplant and more mustard, I love these two colours together. Hope you have enjoyed, I’m stuck at home resting and getting a lot done so will have some others for you shortly. Time is running out to vote in the candy blog below, if no-one else votes that means my sister and Sue are going to be winners! so get voting.

Big Bold Birthday
My sister showed my this fab card using the Big bold birthday set, she has used the kissing technique (you ink the main stamp in a light ink, then ink another stamp in a darker ink and press the two stamps together,) she has used the other smaller stamps in this to make a pattern on the cake icing which is usually just plain.

a closer look at the cakes

don’t they look delicious. This set is NOT retiring and has a lot of potential as you can see. I’m holding a class on march 21st for more details check out the class page, and the total at the moment for the bushfire appeal is $58131 what a great effort! Don’t forget to vote see post’s below. I’ll be back later in the week with some samples that we will be making in the class.

really sorry ladies
i’ll get the last 4 cards up asap, unfortuntely the computer and I have a virus, it took us all afternoon yesterday to rid the computer of it’s horrible virus, which our ip provider told us was clogging up their servers! and I’ve been at the doctor all afternoon too, having chest xrays and blowing in machines wouldn’t be so bad but all I want to do is sleep, so hopefully the pc and i will be better tomorrow (we haven’t virus checked my external harddrive yet so can’t get the other 4 up today) thanks for being so patient.
