Christmas Layout

I’ve only just got around to doing the second layout challenge Roz set us at the beginning of December.  The 6×6 layout on top of my 12×12 page

is the challenge, I’ve used the Scrap kit Winter bright for most of this layout,it certainly made it quick and easy.

As you can see I’ve incorparated my 6×6 into a 12×12 layout, as I had a lot of journalling to go with this layout.  It is eventually going to be  a double layout as most of mine are, as I usually have a story to tell about the photos. There is quite a few different things in here, I’ve used punches, rubons, glitter, brads, the scrap kit, etc. so if you want to know anything specifically just drop me an email. Here is the 6×6 version,

I liked the idea of hanging a bauble as something different. Have a merry and safe christmas.

40th birthday present

I made the following card and album for a recent 40th birthday present.  I layered some card stock onto the pages so that photo’s of the party could be added later.  I have used the designer series paper Spring Silhouettes,  on a kaiser craft 40 chipboard album.  The colours are all, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery and Soft Sky. I dyed the flowers from the Prettiest kit with Wild Wasabi, and the little one with Soft Sky.  The prettiest kit came in handy with pearls, and the beads and the pin to tizzy it all up.  The” D” is from Cosmo Cricket and matched in perfectly.  I used all the odd bits left over to make the birthday card with square puncehs, including the new scalloped square.  The HB on the card is from a level one hostess gift “party punch”.  Hope you enjoy and if I’ve forgotten something just ask.

For Father #2

Another card using the for father stamp set from the summer mini, I really like this little dog, but he looks so sad.

I’m still making last minute xmas cards, luckily today I have finished my shopping, now I just have to get the tree up.  Usually I have all the cards and present done by October, I really don’t know what has happened this year. My husband is well and truly on the path to recovery, but will be off work for a few more weeks yet, but I am beginning to get back into the swing so hopefully  I’ll be back posting up a storm very soon.  Thanks for dropping in and I hope you all have a Merry Xmas and Happy Safe New Year.

For Father

Welcome back, thankyou all for not deserting me, and for your well wishes, my husband is coming along well, still very tired so there hasn’t been much  crafting done.  However I did make a card for my nephew’s birthday today, Happy Birthday Nathan, the For Father set in the summer mini is a great set for men.  Hope you like this one.

I’ve coloured this one with markers, however I think I prefer to use watercolour pencils as the colouring is much more subtle.  Cardstock is old olive, really rust, and chocolate chip.  Thanks for dropping by and hopefully I’ll soon be back to my usual posting routine.

Lack of posts

I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately, due to my husbands unexpected illness, there has been no crafting done. Hope you call back in a couple of weeks to see some new updates.

Helen’s cards

My sister showed me these cards she made using the ’spring fling’ designer paper from Stampin’ Up! – aren’t they cute.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some things I’ve been making, although some I can’t show just yet, I was horrified to discover that I am 11 xmas cards short – how did that happen, and I’m so over making xmas cards. I’m not even awake yet, I realised at 8.20 this morning that I had to be at the school at 8.30 to welcome the new parents on transition day- ahhhh, I got there 10 minutes late ( a really good look!) but I haven’t been able to function yet, might have to go back to bed and get out more sedately.
