Last page of mini album
I’ve been working away at my mini album which has actually turned into two, but I thought I’d show you the last page, here’s a use for all those bits of cardstock that you have punched bits out of.

I’ve adhered a photo to the back of a square scallop punch, and stamped words onto the word window and oval punch’s then pasted them into the previously punched holes. Something a bit different. Although I’m on holidays at the moment, I’ve been busy xmas shopping which means standing in queues returning defective items! I don’t know about you but I always open the packing when I get home and check, It’s horrible getting something at xmas that doesn’t work. Wish I could buy all my presents from Stampin’ Up! then I wouldn’t be wasting my time this way. Sorry about the whinging – I’d much rather be stamping than shopping!Have a nice week and thanks for stopping by.

Layout challenge
Roz has challenged the Southern Belles to do a 6×6 layout, as I’m a scrapbooker at heart this was easy, especially as we had a map to follow. Here is mine

I’ve used the classic stars jumbo wheel, it’s great for male projects, and some new stamps from the summer mini, but I can’t talk about them yet. Another challenge was to use glitter, (I’m sure these challenges are coming faster than once a week) anyway it’s great fun especially when you can incorparate them into something you had to do anyway, and for me it helps me get started.
This book was covered in the spring mini design paper which will be gone at the end of november, I love the bright feel to it, I’m learning so many techniques I decided I needed to write them down, so I got a cheap book from kmart, and covered it, I do a sample of a technique and stick it in the book then write the technique under it. Love the new glitter it’s so chunky and easy to cover the chipboard with. Well I’m off to do some more challenges – I play along with quite a few sites, I find they really help me learn new skills. If any of you would like to play along with the 6×6 layout visit Roz’s site for more information.

One of a kind
images © 1990-2008 Stampin’ Up!
This is one of the cards I swapped at the regionals yesterday, the One of a Kind, stamp set is only available until the end of November so be quick if you were thinking about getting it. I’ve used Groovy Guava ink and cardstock, with the faux tearing and sponging technique. I learnt heaps at the regionals and have even more projects to show you over the coming weeks, the last two weekends have been a bit much to take in, but so much fun. There are so many talented ladies in the crafting world, it’s great how we all share our talents and learn from each other. I’m off to try and finish some of my projects.

I haven’t finished it yet, but you get the drift, I’ll have to buy bigger rings for all the pages though! I got a bit carried away. Thanks for looking, I love sharing with you all. Don’t forget to check out Jacquie’s blog the address is in the sidebar.

the project above used the “dashing” designer paper which is great for xmas. Any questions just ask, I’ve been printing off mega photos for the next couple of projects, so hopefully I’ll have them finished soon.

Tags and Gift Boxes
One of the projects we did at the camps was tags and gift boxes, you will have to forgive the photography on these one’s they all look much better in real life, all very easy to create, although this is the first time I have made a gift box so mine is a bit wonky. This class was held by Amanda Prime-Harris you can get her details off the stamp of approval web page as Amanda doesn’t yet have a blog of her own.
This is the snowburst set -have I said yet how much I’m going to miss this set when it disappears at the end of this month ! glitter, and in colours,
Season of Joy again, this tag is fantastic, you cut around the trees. Here it is open
My first attempt at a gift box, but what a great idea, love the star on top

Cards from the camp
We had a very enjoyable weekend at the camp, we spent all day Sunday stamping away and having a ball. On the Saturday we had a long walk along the beach the sea air was so refreshing and a great way to start the weekend by relaxing, I got some great sunset shots which I’ll post later in the week, however I intend to post a project a day so that you can see how much we did, it was well worth the money. The camp was run by some of my team mates on the Southern Belles Team and it was fantastic to see them in action, they are all so talented, and generous with their skills. The first project I’ll show you was run by Tracie Woodcock, we made two cards that are just gorgeous.
This one is From The Garden (a hostess gift) coloured using markers and watercolour pencils with a blender pen, I love how the watercolour pencils make it quite easy. This is cutout and layered onto a vanilla card stamped with a background stamp, and some layered cardstock.

next is a christmas card from Merry Merry set, stamped randomly, gold embossed and punched embellishments. To see more of Tracie’s work pop over to her blog, the address is on the sidebar, she has done some lovely layouts and matching cards. I’m off to finish up some of the projects. Thanks for dropping by.

Gloss Card Challenge
Just a quick post today, I’m off in a minute to the craft fair, then tomorrow off to stamp camp, I’ve a very busy crafty week ahead of me, ending next saturday at the Stampin’ UP! regional conference. I’ll be back posting early next week with all the projects we will do over the weekend. Here is the card I made for the gloss card challenge,
image © 1990-2008 Stampin’ UP!
I’ve used the snowburst stamp set which I’m really loving, pity it’s only available until the end of this month, the new summer mini starts on the 1st December and it’s got some great things in it, so keep tuned nearer the time. I’ve embossed in white on gloss card and used the embossed resist technique which I’m still getting the hang of, to sponge sky blue, and bordering blue, matted onto brocade blue (believe me it is the computer colours may be a bight out of wack) sky blue ribbon. Catch you all next week, happy stamping.

Baroque Motifs
I know I said in the previous post that I would post the gloss card challenge this afternoon, I’ve changed my mind, I’m keeping that one for later in the week, as I’m going to my first stamp camp next weekend I won’t be posting anything after friday till the following monday when I will have heaps of great projects to show you, we will be making 12 projects, I’m so excited. Anyway here is a card I did for a challenge with some other demonstrators, we had to make a “make and take” card, which meant no embellishments and hardly any layers etc. The first card here was my creation,
(don’t know why all the cards are coming out too large today may have to investigate that later,) anyway this card used the baroque motifs stamps, Gable Green and Green Galore card, and Glorious green ink and a bit of glitter. A very plain card but I quite liked it, then I thought how could it be jazzed up a bit, and I came up with this version
all I added was the small flower from the set randomly stamped and bit more glitter, and the third version which I have turned into a christmas card as I am obviously fixated on this event is here,
all I’ve added is an extra layer of Gable Green, changed the greeting, and rounded the corners. Which version do you like best? I’m thinking of making one of them for the regionals but can’t decide which one. By the way the first card can be made in 5 minutes so it’s also my card for this weeks Southern Belles Challenge.
