Spring Layout
Despite the drought my garden is looking spectacular this year. We have native plants in and some roses. Both of which need very little water and attention and belive me this garden receives very little attention, the plants still seem to thrive nevertheless.

I’ve used River Rock Textured card stock, Spring Flowers designer paper, and the Enjoy every Moment stamp which is great for journalling.
and on this page I’ve added some buttons from the Earth Elements range, and a rubon title. This is a small section of the garden, I’m hoping to do another layout this weekend, but I’m having trouble printing the photos, I’m experimenting with the macro setting and it’s a challenge when it comes to printing them. Keep tuned I might get some more up soon. Hope you have enjoyed my garden as much as I do.

Something a bit different
Here is a card you will rarely see on my site. I’m not into making paper tole, but I love them. My sister and mum love doing them. Here Helen has used the designer series paper Spring Silhouettes as backing to her paper tole. Isn’t it a very peaceful scene and the paper blends so well, she has also used Wild Wasabi card stock.

From the garden
I think I’m pretty safe to show you my sister’s birthday card now. I’ve used the From the Garden Stamp which is a Level 1 Hostess Gift. It took awhile to colour this one, Helen likes Bright colours and Pinks, but it just wasn’t working in that colour. I went with my favourite autumn colours (yes I know it’s spring, I’ll soon have a spring layout to show you, my garden is spectacular just now, which is weird as we have had no rain!)Anyway this is my first attempt at serious colouring.

This is layered onto Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, and Ruby Red. The flower is coloured with those colours plus Old Olive, and I’ve used the watercolour paper and an aqua pen. My first time using those two items too. Hope she likes it. Forgot to mention that this is also the challenge from two weeks ago which was 3d. I’ve double layered the flower (which meant I coloured it twice!) good practise. I also bent the flower petals a bit to add dimension, it looks quite good in real life.

Crab and Company
I’m about three challenges behind with the Southern Belles, so here is the one Roz set 3 weeks ago. The challenge was a card with unusual fold. I’ve just done a basic 3 fold card I really wanted to try something else but just haven’t had time. I did experiment a bit with this though, to make the card interesting on all sides, I’ve done some sponging, masking, I’ve used the All About Christmas wheel, and the crab and company stamp sets, what do you think?
and the back,

Snowburst and cuttlebug
This technique has been around for quite awhile but it’s the first time I’ve had a play with it. You ink your cuttlebug embossing folder on the inside shiny (usually the side with cuttlebug written on it) put in a piece of white cardstock and emboss. If you wash the folder straight away it won’t stain. Here is the result, I’ve also used the snowburst stamp set and embossed with white at the top of the card, the greeting is from a retired set.

Altered tin
Below is one of the tin’s we made at my world card making event, this idea came from Christine, you should check out her site she has made a couple of lovely ones. This one here is made by Patti and I really love the colour scheme she has come up with. I’ll be posting some of the others later once I get them altogether again for a photo, I forgot to take one on the day.

The images from the wanted stamp set, paper is outlaw, and purely pom and river rock ribbon and Patti has used some of her own ribbon.

Prettiest kit
Well it’s been a busy weekend, a wedding yesterday and my sisters birthday today. So just a quick update. The wedding was a lot of fun, my husbands background is greek in case you couldn’t guess from the surname! I love the greek weddings, the bride walked up the street with dancers flanking her, dressed in the crete costumes (groom from rhodes, bride from crete) and the dancing all night was spectacular. Anyway onto some show and tell for my sisters birthday I just realised the card is too big to post so I’ll be back with it later, so onto the present, I made her some xmas cards and here is the folder I made with some designer paper for the cards,

I’ve also used the c out of the illuminations set and gold embossed.
Here is the inside with some of the cards,
and here it is all wrapped up, once again I’ve used butcher paper and wheels this time the watercolour vine, and bodacious wheels in always artichoke and pretty in pink, and regal rose ribbon, I really enjoy making my own wrapping paper and it’s so easy with the wheels.
I’ve decorated the envelope with the C from the illuminations set and the design around it is from the priceless set. I’ll be back later in the week to show you some of the cards I gave her. I haven’t scheduled any classes for the rest of the year but if you are interested in making any of the items you see on the site, contact me and we could arrange a one on one.

Spring has arrived
Well as spring has arrived and I’ve been suffering badly because of all the lovely flowers around, I decided to make a card, at least I can look at this one without sneezing!
The pots a bit wonky but adds character. I’m busy making xmas cards for my sisters birthday present. She works so hard she doesn’t get time to make them herself . Cards make great gifts for time challenged friends. If you were planning to order anything from the spring mini be quick it ends at the end of November. Thanks for popping in and I’ll hopefully have more for you later but a busy weekend is coming up.

Patterned Paper
The Southern Belles challenge this week is patterned paper, I fell in love with the fall flowers designer paper and just had to use it. No stamping on this card, the greeting is a rub on.
I’ve backed it onto really rust card stock, this is one of my favourite colours. Hope you all had a lovely world card making day, I’ve been over at Mum’s and I’ve just been casing some of the great ideas that Roz and Christine have up on their sites. Be sure to go over and check them out. I’m getting together tomorrow with my friends for a card making afternoon so hopefully I’ll have some more for you later.

American River
I’ve been doing some layouts recently however they aren’t for sharing just yet. I won’t post any layouts of my boys at their present age due to bullying at school. So instead I decided to show you one i did a little while ago. We had this marvellous view from our room every morning on a trip to Kangaroo Island, it was so peaceful.
I’ve used the scribble this wheel, and stamp set, as well as the boho punch, and some others from the spring mini. I’ll be back later with the October promotion when I figure out the gremlins in my system.
