So Swirly Father’s Day

I’ve made a father’s day card using so swirly! Amazing what changing the colours will do to a stamp.

images ©1990 – 2008 stampin’up

The butterfly is from the priceless set and the words from Occasional greetings.  Cardstock is Blue Bayou and Soft Sky, ink going grey and blue bayou. I don’t think I’ll be using the so swirly again for awhile, time to move on! had fun though.  I tend to use the same set for awhile then I move on when all my ideas run out.  One day I’ll post all the cards I’ve done using the stipple rose, at last count I’ve made 14 different cards and still have heaps to go, but I got tired of using the same stamp.

Hope everyone had fun at the fair last weekend, I had a ball, but I didn’t get around all the stalls, (too busy  socialising!) still I managed to spend enough (all at one stall)!!t

Thanks for dropping by and be sure to let me know if you think the card is to girly for a man. (seeing as it’s for my husband from my sons, and he is colour blind I think I’ll get away with it.)

So Swirly Christmas

I decided to start on some christmas cards using the So Swirly wheel, I’ve embossed it in gold, isn’t it stunning. The greeting is from the Season of Joy set from the mini catalogue,  I’ve layered it onto the real red card and inked around the edges. We will be making this one at the world card making day class on october 4th.

Using the same colour scheme I then made another card using the priceless set, the swirly wheel embosses up beautifully.

See below for the Savings in September on this wheel. This one is my favourite wheel, it’s very versatile and great for making your own scrapbooking pages. Hopefully I’ll get time this week to put up more, but I’m off to have some fun at the SA Stamping and  Scrapbooking fair tomorrow – hope to see you there.

I’ve used the priceless set for this card along with the matching jumbo wheel So Swirly.  If you order this set between the 1st september and the 30th the wheel is included for free. There are five other sets in this promotion where the wheel is free when you order the matching stamp sets, they are all jumbo wheels so that’s a saving of $15.95.

the set is so versatile I’ve also done a layout using it, the whole time I was designing this layout I kept thinking about my gran so it became a page about gran.  It’s funny how you start down one road and end up on other entirely.

The other stamp sets in the September free wheeling promotion are

Wedding Card

Images © 1990-2008 Stampin’Up!

I’ve made this card for a wedding I’m going too soon, I’ve used the Always set from the spring mini, I love the heart it’s so cute. The ribbon is Purely pomegranate satin ribbon and the oval is from the hodgepode hardware styled silver both from the mini catalogue, I’ve also used some pieces from the pretties kit, you get such a lot of items in this kit.  I’ve also used the mr and mrs from the occasional greetings set.  I’ve used very vanilla textured cardstock.   Let me know what you think of the card, I’m still in two minds about it, but I’m not sure why.  I’m busy at the moment doing up some cards and layouts to display the great savings on certain wheels coming up in September, so keep an eye on this space to see which one’s you can get for free by ordering the stamp set that compliments the wheel.

Pink and Brown Cards

Images copywrite 1990 – 2008 Stampin’ Up!

I was recently challenged to make a pink and brown card, not my favourite colours but once I made one card, I soon had lots of ideas for more.  Here are a couple of cards I made for the display at Morphetville next sunday.

This one is from the Always Set in the mini catalogue, I’ve used the fine lace background stamp on pretty in pink card stock, with cream and chocolate chip ribbon, plus some hodgepodge hardware.

christmas layout

Above is a layout I have completed for the SA Stamping and Scrapbooking fair, which is on at Morphettville Racecourse on Sunday the 24th August, for more information on this event please pop over to Roz Veevers site. The colours are River Rock, Always Artichoke, and Purely Pomegrannate, and I’ve used the Holiday Harmony papers from the spring mini catalougue, also the trimmings on board and some accents and elements, and white embossed the snow stamp from the snow burst stamp set, all these are available from the mini catalougue.  The picture isn’t that great as I’m still experimenting with photographing layouts.

my first card

Here is the first card to make it onto my blog,  it’s one of my favourites.  I’ve used the boho friend wheel, and stamps from the True friend set, both available in the spring mini catalouge.  The paper is from  the prints designer series, certainly celery and cardstock is Garden Green.  This card has proved quite popular at my recent workshops.  This card is a gate fold card, the designer paper is adhered to the inside and the two folds meet in the middle.

Welcome

Hello,  Well here I am just under a year ago I joined stampin up as a demonstrator, and what a wonderful journey it has been.  From the excitment of opening my kit to meeting some truly wonderful people.  I am so happy to have become part of the stampin up family.  I had never made a card before joining stampin up, and have been on a big learning curve but the products have made it so much easier.  I’m hoping you will become a regular visitor to my site where I intend to share my creations with you all.
